Got to see the @Eagles’ Lombardi trophies on the Senate floor today — very impressive!

But don’t worry, I joined my fellow yinzer senators to remind everyone the @steelers still hold the record with SIX Super Bowl wins! 🖤💛

I was honored to welcome students from Hempfield Area High School’s Project 18 to the PA Senate! 👏🏻

For 50+ years, this one-of-a-kind civics program has empowered young leaders in Westmoreland County — including my own chief of staff!

GO SPARTANS! 💙🤍
Yesterday we recognized Mammography May in the Senate — because 1 in 8 women will face breast cancer and early detection saves lives.

With bipartisan support and Act 1 in place, there’s no excuse to delay.

Schedule your mammogram.

For you.

For your family. 🩷
🎉 Westmoreland County showed up STRONG in the Senate today!

I was proud to recognize 90+ student-athletes from 5 championship teams — including volleyball, bowling & swimming — for their PIAA State titles.
🏐🎳🏊🏻

Congrats to these incredible champions & their coaches! 🏆
Great to speak with leaders from the ACCD and Philadelphia Chamber to discuss where our priorities align. We must keep cutting the CNIT, support the USS/Nippon merger, unleash PA’s energy potential and modernize infrastructure. The best thing government can do is get out of your way. #pabudget
🔔 May is Mammography Month in Pennsylvania!
@pabreastcancer and I are teaming up to remind women: 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Easter filled with hope, renewal and the promise of new beginnings.
Thank you Thistle Nook Nature Play School for inviting me to read to your preschoolers this morning! 🌱📚
I enjoyed meeting these little learners.
Today, we recognize the sacrifice and resilience of Gold Star Spouses — those who have lost their loved ones in military service.

Pennsylvania stands with you, honoring the legacy of our fallen heroes.

We will never forget their sacrifice. 💛🇺🇸
I met an amazing man yesterday at the @pittsburghpirates game, and it was my privilege and honor to shake hands with Marc Fogel.

He threw out the first pitch of the home opener. 🖤💛
I had the wonderful opportunity this morning to speak at Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership for Aging’s Spring Networking Breakfast about legislation impacting older adults & those living with disabilities in PA. 🧡

Meet Senator Kim Ward

Senator Kim Ward currently serves as the Senate President Pro Tempore. She is the first woman in the history of the Pennsylvania Legislature to serve as Senate President Pro Tempore and Senate Majority Leader in either the Pennsylvania House or Senate. In 2008, Senator Ward won the Pennsylvania 39th Senatorial District seat and was the first woman ever elected to that seat. She was re-elected in 2012 and 2016, 2020, and most recently in 2024.
